Just want to state that I have been on this website for a few years and that I have noticed that the best fans in boxing nowadays are from Britain. I'm Puerto Rican and love my fighters even though they are not as great as they used to be. MC is the best PR fighter right now. Even though British fans are biased, and who isn't they are the first to admit defeat. Unlike PR, Mexicans, or Americans. Not trying to start a fight, just want to recognize the least unbiased fans, even though they will support their own to the fullest. Wish I could watch a fight in England. Puerto Ricans are known as the loudest fans, but UK has the largest fan base.

In terms of being fans yes, there's no doubt.

They support their fighter to the fullest, sing songs on the fights like they do in football, and they will always defend their fighter.

A lot of country has passionate fans, Brit's are just on another level.

I'd say PAC fans are right up there with uk fans. Nothing like hearing the whole MGM arena chanting pacqiaou pacqiaou gave me goose bumps last time. Also Mexican fans go hard too

I agree right now the loudest fans are Filipino, Mexican, or Puerto Rican. That is besides Britain. And I think that it a pretty accurate order.

Let's just say, we tend to appreciate our sport heroes more.

Brazil is also up there, they're not just in boxing a lot as of yet.

As a Brit this is refreshing to hear on ESB.

Watching Margarito V Cotto or Pacquiao V Marquez fights we can appreciate the electric atmosphere, it is something to behold and more fighters should get the opportunity to fight in such circumstances.

I for one believe that fighters can reach another level in certain instances and fight beyond their capabilities using such occasions as fuel.

This might not go down well but I would rate the Polish in or around on the list of nations mentioned, way above Germany and the US for instance.

That is true but big countries do have more options. Countries like Brazil, Mexico, and Filipinos have more options. UK and PR are small in population compared to you guys. But in the end it comes too how much you people want to support you. In that case right now I think the best fans are UK, Mexico, PR, and Filipinos and the only reason I say that is because I know Filipinos that did not follow boxing until they heard of Manny Pacquiao.

Well Perspicacity, I agree because a lot of the German fighters are from another nation and the US does not hold the same respect to their fighters as they used to.

Unfortunately more of the fans belong to that category.

The true followers who were fans long before he was known hardly even join boxing forums.

I think it's incorrect to label all pac fans as irrational, ditto floyd fans.

A lot of Brit fans label Joe C as a high level ATG with very thin achivements in comparison, is that rational?

Good to know SugarShane_24. I appreciate your honesty, don't want too sound like a dumb ass. I believe that with their grit and toughness Filipinos will probably be the best fighters in the next 10 to 15 years.

Well, yeah, that's what I'm proud off, I know what fighter my country can produce, it's just that, well, there are sometimes fans who annoy even some of us.

Usually, they can only talk about Pacquiao, hardly even know legit prospects like Froilan Saludar and next in line contenders like Denver Cuello, but has guts to even discuss in a boxing forum.

But I can't deny the passion and support they bring.
