Best HW wins

As I came across a lot of criticism of Foreman, I began to wonder how many heavyweight greats have a more impressive win than his knockout of Joe Frazier in their first bout?
I'm talking only about the best wins of the greatest HW fighters, let's say top 20 heavyweights of all time, so no Rahman vs Lewis or Douglas vs Tyson type of wins.

So, what’s your opinion - what are the best heavyweight wins in that context?

 

Joe Louis vs Max Schmeling II
Joe Frazier vs Muhammad Ali I
Muhammad Ali vs George Foreman
Mike Tyson vs Michael Spinks

 

This will surely turn into a another 70s vs modern heavyweights thing.

But from a historical sense I don't think there are many victories which would rank above it that aside.

 

I’d put it the third best win below FOTC and the jungle rumble

Foreman over Frazier
Louis over Schmeling
Ali over Foreman
Marciano over JJW

Almost put in Usyk over Fury as it’s one of my favorite wins for a fighter.

 

Wasn't beating Ken Norton just as impressive?

 

Overrated win Frazier was on the slide and Foreman was a horrible matchup for him the only thing that carries that wins is name value.
Usyk vs Fury or Joshua are both better wins a smaller CW taking on huge SHWs and schooling them.
FOTC was a better wins two prime HW ATG ducking it out and Frazier showing he was better
Spinks vs Holmes 1 was better
Buster vs Tyson was another great win
Bowe vs Holyfield was another great win etc

 

Perhaps his own accomplishment of beating Moorer at the age of 46.

 

You can make a serious argument that Foreman had the two greatest wins in heavyweight history, 21 years apart. That is the kind of stuff that would be laughed off in a fictional novel for being unrealistic.

Norton win over Ali and arguably won rematches
Holmes win over Norton
M. Spinks win over Holmes 2x
Tyson wins over Biggs, Tucker, Ruddock 2x
Foreman wins over Frazier, Norton, Moorer
Lewis over Holyfield, Vitali, Tua, Ruddock
Holyfield wins over Tyson and Bowe

 

Sullivan beating Kilrain deserves a mention, bro beat a top 4 heavyweight like 8 months after he was in an alcohol induced coma that destroyed his body.

I think it definitely deserves a mention amongst Ali over Foreman, Louis over Schmeling, Spinks over Holmes, etc

 

These three lines are just the epitome of bias and hypocrisy
