"Treating Arlovski like Christina Aguilera treated the national anthem at last Sunday's super bowl"

I wonder if he was practicing that line all week

I didn't laugh at the time. I felt too bad for Andrei. You can see that he is still skilled, but he really has no punch resistance.

He's the Alan Partridge of MMA, not a bad thing though

It was great watching Arlovski get pounded into the mat again.

Agreed, but he never has had. That mad Russian neo-Nazi was really unorthodox, but he really badly knocked Arlovski out as well. They were both debutants. Arlovski looked vulnerable around the whiskers then.

Still, he lasted the distance with Big Foot (who isn't much of a hitter standing up) and has been stopped by some big guys and punchers recently (Kharitonov is a brutal puncher, Rogers heavy handed, Fedor big puncher, Sylvia big lump) so I see no reason why he couldn't compete against a lower level
    of striker and survive.

But is it worth the risk? I agree with everyone and say it isn't, getting fully sparked loads of times is not good for your health.

Um, no. If that's a +1 then those guys are still - infinity. The amount of ******ed **** that comes out of the Strikeforce announcer's mouths is staggering.

My favorite of the night, and I was half paying attention, is during one of the fights Marilo or whatever his name is, or maybe it was Gus, I don't know, they're both ******ed when it comes to MMA, he says, "He can't get it (a submission)!" Then 2 seconds later, he's got it.

And that's just one! I heard some dumb, dumb **** and listening to Frank Shamrock commentate longer then 30 seconds will drop your IQ permanently.

Yup, one instance in which the Chinckeckers are right - AA became a pure stand-up fighter and it was too late when he realized he had some of the worst punch resistance of any elite fighter, ever.

Cant say i agree. Watching AA on the mat there laying prone you'd think he'd just been shot. He NEED's to retire.

Just not an AA fan. Never rated him highly especially after his losses to Tim Sylvia. I shouldn't say stuff like that about fighters but that was part of my post-fight drunken posting rampage.
