Best or biggest? Fury is probably the biggest. He's a pro wrestling level showman for better or worse. My favorite is Usyk, respectful without being dull, kind of quirky from what I can tell.

The better personalities don't always have to be necessarily bombastic.

When people took the time to interview him (alone - when he could be heard, read: without Ali present, lol), Joe Frazier had a great personality and not least for his no no-nonsense, straight-shooting honesty and simple widsom. Ken Norton held himself in similar fashion. Ron Lyle was very articulate and said a lot that was worth listening to.

Fury can be very funny - but also very unfunny and mentally off-center.

Randall Tex Cobb is a must inclusion also.

He could be obnoxious but Galento definitely added some colour to the sport.

For this thread, Max Baer almost goes without saying.

Just fighters? Question is what do you mean best? There are lots of loud idiots who unfortunately get publicity for their antics and get away with their bull****. To me best would be people who were decent, preferably serious about their careers professionals who treat people properly. I think sometimes the good ones get less attention than the 'colourful'/biggest personalities, who in different scenarios would just be seen as arseholes. For me fighters like Usyk are by far a better personality than of his louder counterparts.

Shannon The Cannon Briggs, while being (acting?) as mad as a cut snake, can be quite a bit of fun. Let’s go Champ!

Slight tangent but kind of on theme - apparently Alex Miteff was quite the “talker” during his fights - a personality of sorts.

Henry Cooper said, when it came to talking, he was “worse” than Ali - now that’s saying something! Lol.

A lot of people confuse being loud and obnoxious with being charismatic, its not.You can be quiet and well mannered and still be a personality. As an example John H Stracey was not loud but he was a very entertaining guy inside and outside the ropes

I think Tex is the champ at this, but I always thought John Conteh was pretty good. Anyone remember his Ali imitation?

Ali "the greatest show on earth" loved Tyson`s menacing aura too.

I love Michael Spinks' kooky personality. The interview after the Holmes fight was so endearing, especially as Larry was giving his infamous jock strap interview across the room.

He had a cold and his voice broke. Hilarious. And he was so polite to reporters. He was as nice as my other favourites - Ezzard and Floyd Patterson - but had a bit more about him.

I heard that Baer was quite not like the way he was portrayed both at the time and later on.
