    depends on the individual

i'm orthodox but my left hook was my hardest and best shot, for some reason i was never able to put too much power on my right or my wrist would hurt.

i think i can put more pushing power into a left cross but the ritgh hook and the right uppercut come from a strange angle and are far more effective. for me anyways.

if all were done properly, it would be between the hook & uppercut. hook connecting to temple or uppercut connecting to chin

There have been some occasional laboratory tests done on punching published in the distant past when boxing was still a mainstream sport. It turns out the lefthook was generally the punch with the most pop. Because the lefthook tends to be a short punch the fist is still accelerating thus multiplying the force of impact.

    Forgot the uppercut

my right uppercut (according to my coach) was supposed to be my hardest punch, didn't throw it often though, even when sometimes i had the chance to in sparring, it felt too extreme.

Same here. I can land a left hook with decent power but I always hold back a lot on the right uppercut and even feel guilty for throwing it in sparring.

    get low for the uppercut.

    im sure yas know that.

like i say - done 'right'. uppercut low down & driving up with the legs. hook short & snappy, hand upright like youre drinking a glass of water
