No, it's not just a colloquialism, or just a short version of a longer word. It's considered a derogatory term, that's why it's not used on internet forums....

this guy is hyped?? won MOST amateur titles available, lost a handful of amateur fights in over 100, won a silver in olmypics?? Unbeaten pro beaten, a former world champ, destroyed good domestic opponents in earl, barrett etc :nut cuckoo cuckoo. I think he is obviously a good prospect I have seen plenty of guys and shared rings with them this guy has amazing talent and i think has already proved it:thumbsup

I dont think Khan will be elite like most media think he will be, he has too many flaws although I do think he will be a exciting during the wayand his style is pleasing on the eye, but I think Appleby could be the one who achieves more, but he needs way more exposure, its a shame you need Warren to make things happen for you in the short stages of a career even if it harms your chances of fulfilling your potential.

khan will be at the top, he might loose, but hes definitel got talent. Hes hyped up, but its all BS hype its the way ITV do things

its a premature stage in his career.. hes been filmed from birth, once hes at then end of his career it will be different, people will give him respect. i want to see him get beat, i think it helps fighters get better coz they aint scared of loosing no more

    like the truman show eh.

i don't get you bailey. from your earlier posts you appeared to be a huge khan fan who believed he would destroy casamayor, had more ko power than katsidis and would beat romanov easily.

now you appear to be either racist or just ignorant (take your pick), want to see khan lose believing him to be overhyped.

its not something i generally condone, but i seriously think its time you created a new id and just tried again. baileys tune's name is mud. cleanse yourself, child.

Amir Khan "t punch for ****" is our best prospect.

I like the look of Gary Sykes though. Very good technically and has a good punch. He is one to keep an eye out for over the coming year.

**** Khan. The guy is a complete ******* and still has trouble stringing a sentence together without adding "kno wot i mean" and "give him credit he came to fight". WHAT THE **** DO YOU EXPECT HIM TO DO? Run away like Steffy Bull did that night?

I really like Mitchell and hope he goes all the way. I'm not too confident he can take it to World Level but I wish him all the best he seems like a top guy also.

Yeah it's getting pretty stupid now. Not liking Frank Warren and his policies , and maybe even Khan and his attitude, is one thing, but carrying out never-ending "hate" (a bit strong perhaps) campaigns is another.

Every boxer has their fan base, it's not like Khan's the only fighter with exaggerating fans.

Having said that, maybe it would be better to dedicate this topic to other prospects, as somebody mentioned. There is no shortage of threads and information on Amir Khan.

Appleby looks good he has a cocky confident swagger that could either help or hinder him.If he delivers the goods against an experienced solid pro like John Simpson then he will be right up there.

Its seems that Kevin Mitchell will collide with current EBU titleholder Sergey Gulyakevich. Really good test for Kevin. But Im picking classy southpaw from Belarus.
