Who do you think will win a title in 2009? Ortiz, Khan, Angulo, Kirkland (??), Golovkin, Cloud, Gamboa....?

I don't really count guys like ORtiz and Kirkland as prospects ... they are contenders , Who should be fighting world champs this year.

    Golovkin.
He would have showed it against Simms.
Let's hope he gets another good match up before the years out.

I'm definitely interested to see more of Bantamweight Chris Avalos, he's impressed me in the past and I'm eager to see how he'll cope when he steps up.

Darren Sutherland's progress will also be interesting.

However if you want someone who will probably go from a prospect to a contender this year and looks World Class already then http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=462931&cat=boxer , he's your man. Cuban Super-Middleweight Luis Garcia.

Erislandy Lara is another Cuban who looks very promising and is facing a good test this weekend, and of course most of us will be interested to get a look at Rigondeux aswell.

Erislandy Lara - agree to that.
Saw his last 2 fights and both impressed me more than the other Cubans they are pushing.

That was his debut, what do you expect as a debut opponent ? and unless you're a pro fighter yourself or a very good amateur fighter I doubt it. Kukuls is actually better than his record may suggest(I was at that fight)

Khan,Ortiz and Gamboa should be champs by the end of the year.

Cloud is my favourite out of those you mention but he's M.I.A, and got completeley ass invaded with the rematch-injury debacle, and with Woods also laying claim to being the next Mando I cant see him getting it till next year now. But he will get it.

Watch out for Keith Thurman at 147/154. This guy has some pop, will make a good pro, he is out of winky's gym.

I also like Omar Henry at 154.

I am a big fan of daniel jacobs..he is a contender tho not a prospect

Oh and Mike Jones and also Miguel Angel Garcia..these guys have some talent.
