I'm disqualifying those that achieved their noteworthy accomplishments form an orthodox stance.

Yuri Vaulin while a short career wasn't half bad either.A very crisp hard puncher but smaller HW. based on who had the best win as a southpaw, I would go with Sanders, moorers resume doesn't scream world beater either.Ability all around wise I would take Byrd.

moorer was actually a title holder.

sanders wasn't - he only in retirement got a title shot because of the unprecedented paucity of his opposition - any other period, prime sanders wouldn't have got close to the world title.

but in klitschko era, in his worst shape age 37/38 he is almost able to unify, and wipe out one champ in seconds.

Zolkin was another, would have beat Bowe in 96 had he got the shot as initially intended instead of Golota.

Fun fact, Moorer is the only southpaw HW titlist that hasn't fought Wlad.

I give fighters like Holyfield and Wlad credit for never skirting around southpaws. I'm not gonna say top level southpaws were out and out ducked, but there wasn't a surplus of top heavies willing to fight them and matchmaking for them was tougher as a result.
