Who was that obviously crooked ref in Bute - Andrade I? - The guy who refused to call a TKO when Bute was out on his feet, and then delayed starting the count for 10-15 seconds because Andrade was a whole 3 feet from his corner? That guy needs some serious public humiliation.
The Worst Referee I have ever seen in my life was the Fella who reffed that fight between Alex Garcia and Bernard Benton. That ref should of been executed on the spot for that type of refereeing. Watch that fight if you havent seen it, he let the guy take way too many punches and the guy could of been killed in there. The Ref's name is Roger Y'anez
He was WAY too involved in that match; he was giving advice to Foreman, he was yelling in dismay every time Foreman fell and in general he was making a spectacle of himself. Not to mention the fact that he let the fight go on when it was pointless... It appeared to me that Mercante was too close to the fight, like he was emotionally invested in it... I don't dislike Mercante, but he screwed up bad in that fight. A good ref should be doing his job while never appearing to be in the ring at all... Mercante was WAY too involved. On another note... Cortez is horrible and needs to go.
