    since Barrera punked out looks like Beterbiev is going to be made IBF mandatory

    i see ward vacating , doubt he will take 2-3 million at best to face beterbiev

    he is now realising that 175 is no divison for part time bum boys who don't want hard fights

    Yeah but the question is, who is realistically going to fight Beterbiev in late April?

    The IBF does not just hand out mandatories. Bummerbiev MAY get promoted to the #1 contender in the IBF but that won't get him a mandatory title shot. He will have to fight the next available contender in the IBF's top 10 or 15 in order to get his mando...

    If Beterbiev had won he would have been the mandatory, he's quite likely to be promoted to that mandatory spot now seeing that Barrera accepted and then defaulted.

    No. The IBF does NOT work that way. You can't sit on a ranking and wait for a mandatory in the IBF like you can in other organizations. If Bummerbiev wants a mando for the IBF title then he *must* fight an eliminator. There is NO other way to get a mandatory in the IBF. And who said Barrera "defaulted"?

    'nah beterbiev needs to fight someone to become mandatory, just becuase the ibf top 15 all refused to fight him should mean he just automatically becomes mandatory'

    ' stiverne deseves he's mandatory spot, dropped by rossy and gets done for drugs, he deserved mandatory'

    Do you realize that the list of the top ATGs is DOMINATED by African Americans? WTF should we ever feel insecure about the sport WE dominated and perfected? There's damn good reason why all the top Eastern Europeans have AFRICAN AMERICAN trainers, Einstein.
