yes i know beterPOWER isn't a cruiserweight, but hypothetically speaking, if he moved up and fought usyk who would win? i think beterPOWER wins by ko.

Usyk has already outpointed him soundly in the ams, Usyk wins by late KO.

beterPOWER beat kovalev in the ams as well but that doesn't mean he faces the same result in the pro games.

Usyk beat Beterbiev twice once in the 2012 Olympics, as far as beating Kovalev goes, Kovalev wasn't a stellar amateur and even then he only beat Kovalev 25-24 that's as close as it gets.:deal

Beterbiev was cruiserweight (although small for the weight) at 2012 Olympics. Beterbiev previously lost to Usyk, but then in this rematch, he quite simply beat Usyk up and definitely deserved the win, but wasn't given the win.

Here's the fight (it's the first one in this link), you can see for yourself. Beterbiev even knocked Usyk down from what I remember.

Usyk won that fight. 17-13 was pretty accurate and It was a kidney punch that made him take a knee.

No he dropped him in the 2011 fight and hurt him with an illegal kidney punch at the Olympics but didn't drop him, and no Usyk outpointed him, even though he didn't look great doing it.

What's really interesting is of all the fight in the amateurs, including some fights against bigger guys, Beterbiev and Russo were the ones gave him the hardest time. Makes me wonder if he could be more comfprtable @HW. :think

Beterbiev's power is not that effective at CW. Fighting at CW in Olympics was his and Russian coaches' mistake.

I still give him a better chance against Usyk in a professional fight.

On the (current) Pro circuit, he most definitely does.

Thats not to say Kova and Beter aren't formidable in their own right.

Bla bla bla, Beterbiev genuinely did beat Usyk up - anyone without an agenda will agree that 17-13 is far too wide and Beterbiev should have got the nod.

...despite this, I still think Usyk is more promising.
