He could fight any of the greens. Specifically Glazkov, Jennings, Browne or Takam would be nice opponents. But he (yet again after Molina) picked the easiest opponent. Some guy who doesn't even deserve to be #12, or top 20 for that matter.

Good list :good Takam and Jennings are the only worthy opponents among the available ones.

Unfortunately Takam will likely be avoided.
    He Is high risk\low reward.
Also a high volume puncher with a reasonably good chin.

Take the guys out who are highlighted red because they werent available, and that leaves you with Povetkin,

, Mansour, Fedosov, Browne, Ustinov, Ruiz Jr, Helenius, Wach, Kudryashov, and Drozd.

Now, eliminate the guys who are coming off a loss. HL'd in Blue.

That leaves Potvetkin, Glaskov, Thompson, Takam, Szpilka,

Now, eliminate the guys who are not rated by the WBC as a legitimate title defense. HL'd in Yellow. That leaves Potvetkin, Glaskov, Browne Thompson, Takam, Szpilka, Ruiz Jr, and Wach.

Now, with no need to HL for exclusion, lets just say for the sake of argument. Duhaupas<Szpilka and Glaskov.

We already know that Potvetkin is next unless Wilder unifies with Wlad or the Browne, Chagaev, Oquendo sweeps, which basically takes Browne out of the pic.
Ruiz Jr is still in prospect mode, and is coming off an injury. Wach, while he would have been a better defense than Duhaupas, is just as unknown to the American casual, as is Takam.

Thompson is 43 y/o and has had 2 title shots already. To the casual, Shannon Briggs would be a more worthy opponent.
Essentially this title shot was SUPPOSED to be Arreolas. But he blew it.
It was supposed to be Szpilkas, but he passed it up.

Let's just be thankful that Wilder's not fighting a china chinned plodder like Molina, and that Duhaupas, while not a world beater, is still a far better fighter than Stiverne or Molina.
And while Wilder might blow him out of the water, at least this is Wilder's toughest test yet, as Duhuapas aint gonna be hanging out with the ****** Stevenson acting like a pimp during training camp and swelling up so fat that he's gotta lose 40lbs just to get into something resembling fighting shape.:-(

funny that u mentioned several cruisers. that division is so good right now I would favor many top 10 cruisers over top 10 heavies. They punch hard are quicker and better conditioned. aside from the super hw fighter's they pose many problems.

Molina followed by Duhaupas as your first two voluntary defenses is pathetic. There is no other way around it.
