Yall know what im talking about guys that get in my mind unreservedly hyped on various forums when they didn't achieve much or where worse than most people would like to remember. Two guys that pop into mind are Jerry Quarry and Tim Witherspoon.

Took the words right of my mouth.

Every few weeks theres a poll between Tua and some fighter who was better than him. Tua almost always wins the poll and its usually not close.

    People love that guy.

Norton for sure. People way overrate him for giving two great fighters close fights of which he only won one. His other accomplishments are beating a shot Quarry, who apparently was beating him up in sparring when both were prime, and then winning a close decision over Young that he arguably should have lost. Based on that people think he would beat Usyk, Joshua, Fury etc.

I should mention that I was in a hurry and didn’t read the OP fully. My unreserved apologies to those mortally offended.

Why was Quarry shot ? He beat up Lyle 2 years prior and wasn't on a loss streak after he fought Norton. Most had Norton beating Young

He forget to mention he got beat up by Frazier again and hadn't looked good for a few years at that point and afterwards didn't beat anyone of note

Could it be a non heavyweight?

I mean look out how heavyweights on average are rated P4P lower in comparison to non heavyweights unless it's Ali or Louis as the exceptions.
