For me, this is really a no-brainer. Floyd Mayweather is by far the biggest name in the sport. Others beg to differ. Why is Manny Pacquiao the bigger name when Mayweather does bigger numbers? Shouldn't that automatically allow Floyd to get the lion's share of the purse? Please post your arguments. Saying that Manny is more exciting to watch isnt really valid as most boxers out there are more exciting to watch than Floyd. I guess that "0" combined with Floyd's obnoxious personality are a gold mine. It seems that everyone wants to see him lose.

I think Mayweather figured out how to cash in i.e his attitude, flashy lifestyle etc. Love or hate him tho 1 can't deny his dominance in the sport...Pacman is more of a brand name imo, his humble persona appeals to most of the ppl globally. In SA both guys r pretty huge well known fighters both associated with boxing...Namewise tho I hav to say Mayweather is the biggest name in the sport becos he has bn dominating for so long
Worldwide Pacquiao, in the states probably mayweather. WWE, dancing with the stars, random reality show pop ups.
With the number of sponsership deals, you'd have to say Pacquiao. If Mayweather was the bigger name outside of boxing, Nike would want him alongside Kobe Bryant and Rafa Nadal. TIME Magazine know how big Pacquiao is.
i think mayweather is, any fan of boxing knows both but people who dont really follow the sport most have heard of mayweather.
