So, it's Dib vs Ceferino “El Pelado” Labarda (19-1, 7 by KO) and it's on FOX:

    Dib returns Sept 2

Ray Wheatley — World of Boxing - 26th Aug 2010

Former IBO 130 pound champion Billy “The Kid” Dib (27-1,15KO’s) will be in action against Ceferino “El Pelado” Labarda (19-1,7KO’s) of Argentina over eight rounds at the La Montage Reception Center, Sydney, NSW, Australia on September 2nd. Labarda is 29 years and is a southpaw with only loss coming at the hands of IBF 122 pound champion Steve Molitor who scored a TKO win in ten rounds in 2008. Dib’s scored his most impressive win in 2007 when he scored a shutout eight round decision win over world rated Rogers Mtagwa in Madision Square Garden in New York.

Steve Luevano outscored Dib over twelve rounds in WBO featherweight title bout in 2008 but in 2009 Billy stopped fellow Australian Davey Browne in six action rounds in the best Aussie Fight for that Year. IBF#4 Dib is chasing a shot at IBF featherweight champion Orlando Salido.

Promoter Bill Treacy and matchmaker Garrie Francisco. Televised on Foxtel Cable Television Network throughout Australia.

Dibb seems to be his own worse enemy with the crap he pulls in fights. I think his mental side is the one that needs ad******g. Just because he had Mosley & Oscar behind him at one stage doesn't quite equal that he has made it on the world scene. But he does have talent you can't deny that.

How he didn't get DQ'ed against the Jap at Luna Park still has me stuffed!

Z grade stuff by Dib and the referee, who was right there, and saw nothing.

i don't like the guy, but he looked good in the fight with browne. but his opposition has gone down, not up imo.

don't know how good he is because he spends his whole time in the ring trying to look fancy instead of just getting the job done properly. we will find out sooner or later.

he is no.4 IBF, so he may get a shot soon.

There's no question on his talent Ash but he's not mentally ready to beat a world class fighter imo. Couldof agree entirely.............definately should of been DQ.

His next opponent is definitely a step in the right direction, judging by his record. Looking forward to it.

19 wins over Argie cabdrivers and a blowout loss to Steve Molitor isn't that much of a step up. I haven't seen this guy, but I'm guessing he's no better than Rogers Mtagwa or Edgar Vargas. Better than the bums he's been facing lately though, I guess.

well he is ranked no.4 IBF so it probably depends on whether he wants it or not, because there will be money there for it.

Molitor is 1 of the biggest punchers around at Super Bantam.:yep
If Dib doesnt KO this opponent it would be a major disappointment.
