    Considering what a wasteland the lightheavyweight division is today, I`d say sure. He was a competent fighter was Douglas Sr., good technical skills and a LOTS of power in that right hand of his, woulda definately picked up a belt at some point although he never is going to be no long-standing champion though.

    I can see him being a contender but I can't see him picking up a belt.
