Hey guys, i don't post much in the British Forum Thought this question would be best asked here How is Billy Joe Saunders coming along ? Everytime he's on an undercard, i seem to miss his fight. How is he looking ? How far you think he can go ?
He's improved his weight, and looks to have better conditioning. Injuries still hinder him but the last 6 months have really picked his progress up. He got a good solid 10 rounds in bag. He does some nice things in there like putting shots together well and he's exciting to watch because he comes to fight but he also has some awkward traits which could be a good thing. We'll see but he's improved and within the next year will be fighting for British title i'd say. It's hard to see how far he can go, he's got ability but he's not been tested but i think from his next fight onwards we'll see some gradual steps up in class. Frank always said he'll move Billy slowly and he's 22 now so it's time for domestic honors.
I was ringside at his last fight and he's pretty slick, I was impressed. Still early days though, he's only 22
Still at the wrong weight and that effects his punching power but I think he has hand problems so he will probably never be a knockout artist as he will be forever holding back. Reminds me of Calzaghe, I mentioned it before and a few disagreed with me about the comparison.

i haven't seen him in a while either i remember when he came down to west ham when he was an amateur he sparred dudley o'shaugnessy and looked almost like pernell whitaker slipping the shots!
