I thought Hendo was was robbed. I gave him rounds 1 2 and 5. Boxing rules he'd have had two 10-8's. Bisping will be lose to whoever he fights next.
This content is protected So you give him round 2 for one good punch when bisping kicked his butt for 4 minutes 30 seconds. Hendo won round 1 and might have shared 2 and 5.
Bisbing It's not boxing rules though is it, it's an MMA fight. Bisping clearly had the much better of the 5 min round bar 30 seconds.
Bisping got the victory officially. But MMA fans are not going to give him credit for this "win" . It has not been 24 hours , yet the fans are already eating Bisping alive. He will forever be told Henderson owned him not once but twice. Bisping has to be very disappointed with his performance. I definitely would not be pleased. He wanted to remove all doubt and avenge his loss. He did not do that.
He came mighty close to a KO1 loss so on that regard he should be delighted with his performance. He's lucky Henderson is not the guy of 00's vintage.
Bis deserved the nod but it was not an impressive or redeeming performance in the slightest. His face looked like it got run over by a car and he had to skip the post fight conference to go straight to the hospital. Compare this to Hendo who had zero visible damage. Yes Bis threw and landed far more scoring taps but it's clear one man's strikes had far more damaging, concussive effect over the others. I would of liked to see Hendo keep pumping the jab because he couldn't miss Bis who kept coming forward without moving his head. He barely managed to survive against a shot to bits near 50 yr old Hendo. Bis was meant to completely destroy and utterly humiliate him, erasing all the memories of the 1st fight but that performance just solidified the belief that If hendo was a few yrs younger he would walk through Bis again.
He didn't "kick his butt" he outscored him, big difference. Hendo was the one who landed just about all the big damaging strikes. Bis never had him remotely hurt at any point in the fight accept for the two groin kicks.
I scored the fight 47-47. A draw. Rd 1 10-8 to Hendo and rd 2 to Hendo. Thought Bisping outworked him in rds 3-5. It was no robbery a close fight but as others have mentioned Bisping can not be happy with that. Hendo was a hand picked easy gimme title defence that EVERYONE thought was a joke fight. I personally don't consider the fight a legit title defence. In his next fight I fully expect Bisping to lose when he has to fight one of the legitimate top contenders.
I think Bisping just struggles with Henderson's style like Henderson can't deal with Belfort. That he got to a decision is probably just because Hendo is shot. Bisping might cause another shock vs Mousasi.
Mousasi is better than Bisping everywhere imo. He is a much better fighter. In a 5 rd fight Mousasi would finish him imo.
