Looks good though. There's seem to be quite a lot of boxing movies recently, despite its stagnating popularity.

Satterfield is one of my all time favourites.

If he was involved in a match it was always going to be entertaining.

 

It's one of the most complicaqted and bizarre stories I've ever read, but "Champ" did fight Patterson.

I would say more, but I don't want to ruin the movie/storyline for anyone wishing to see it.

I remember reading the article this was based on posted up on these forums. It was extremely well written and an amazing read I just hope the movie will be just as good.

 

The movie looks good, it good to see a fighter like Satterfield having a movie.

 

Huh. Pretty suprising Satterfield of all people gets a movie about him made after all this time...

 

I don't think the movie's about Satterfield, but Tommy Harrison, a journeyman heavweight, who pretended to be him (or deluded himself) for the balance of his life, and a reporter's gradual uncovering of the truth.

 

Thanks for the PM Sam, thats a hell of a story and one I'd never heard before. I'll be keeping an eye out for the film.
