How long can you see this relationship working for? I can see Booth getting annoyed an leaving, when Eubank Jr thinks hes his dad an gets tagged as weve seen , I can see Booth not being happy, not sticking to the plan. Thoughts?
Not even six months. Adam has more brains/sense in his little toe than both of them combined. He'll know when to leave. Chris (senior) is going to ruin and sabotage his son's career. His son doesn't seem like an idiot, but I wonder if he's just too in awe of his Dad to go against his advice?
Nah, Booth is a smart guy and knows full well what he's dealing with. I doubt he's expecting to get that much 'surface respect' since Jr has all but told R Davies to STFU during the BJS fight! (Incredible disrespect IMO). Booth works best with explosive fighters and Jr is pretty much a turbo-mach10-100mph version of a proto-typical Booth fighter. This is a good match and will last but Senior really needs to take a backwards step. IMO the ultra-bad press/treatment he received has given him a strange biased slant against everyone. It seems like he's jaded and has an "us/me against the world" attitude, when really, the landscape has changed and people are more than happy to see Jr succeed.
Agree but his explosive fighters are risk averse something Eubank isn't, its a bad style match up of trainer and fighter
Hope the legend that is Booth does a bit better with CEJ than he did with Andy LEE! what a fiasco the Lee-Both marraige 'made in heaven' turned out to be eh? Exactly what is so great about Booth anyway? What has he achieved as a trainer?
He got Lee a belt! Lee has always been overrated. P*ss poor whiskers, overrated power and overrated skills. Before Adam he had no belts.
Luck and timing got Lee the belt BB - not Booth in fairness. Lee has laboured in every single fight under Booths training. Laboured wins, come from behind wins, picking himself up off the floor, and - the final insult -l osing his title in farcial Darren-Barkeresque fashion in his very first (unsuccessful) defence. Not a record to boast about. So I ask again - what exactly is Booths appeal?
Booth's not stupid and will be under no illusions. You can't win with the Eubanks. Ronnie Davis is a yes man there for the money. Can't blame him.
Mate, you ALWAYS think it's soley the Irish that do the business and nobody else. Luck & Timing? Lee had been a pro for many years before getting a belt with Adam. Why didn't he score one then? We both know why, and it ain't luck & timing! Besides, EMMANUEL STEWARD trained Lee. Why didn't Lee win a belt under him?
Won a world title with Lee, oversaw Haye's rise to become undisputed cruiserweight world champion, and later world heavyweight champion and even helped inspire Curtis Woodhouse to win an unexpected British belt. Agreed, not enough to mark him down as a top trainer but not too shabby nonetheless.
Because the 'soft' belts were all tied up in those days - people like zkik, sylvestre, barker etc - one only became available to Andy after Steards demise. Just the luck of the draw.
Shut up. You're usually tolerable, but you are being pathetic now. If they were so easy to win, why didn't he win one with the greatest trainer to ever live? Idiot.
