Agreed.As a GSP fan it was very disappointing to observe.The Dude rakes in millions of dollars a year and doesn't risk a thing for his fans.The last few of his fights have been "non events" and predictable,or may I even say BORING!
I get hyped for a GSP fight because I'm expecting something special and expecting him to go for the finish like he always promises. Now its boring fights with excuses after. Even the Koscheck fight which wasn't too bad was still a bit boring. Great jab it always looks like GSP doesn't want to do something special, same as Floyd. I wouldn't mind if he does it like Silva and misses the mark a few times but when he is on fire, he is ON FIRE!
Funny how Dana was "embarrased" by Anderson Silva's 5 round fight at UFC 112 yet we hear nothing on GSP, who hasn't gone for the kill since winning back his title 3 years ago.. GSP's last 4 fights have gone the distance. I like Dana, but he can be a real ****.. If he ever needed to call out one of his fighters it would have been after the Koscheck rematch. please dont throw AS in the same boat because GSP's snoozefest. Last time I remember, Anderson finished his 7 of his last 10 opponents. Pretty impressive wouldn't you say? he clowned around two times and the guy gets a rep of being a boring fighter?
I too was suprised that he still has not said anything about GSP performances. He pot shots standing up and controls fighters on the ground. It's technical, its skillful and sometimes impressive but Shields was he real chance at scoring a stoppage in a LONG time.
I'm not as indigant as some people, but anybody who compares Silva at UFC 112 to St. Pierre last night is a moron.
I think GSP has an eye on the Silva fight. He looked really big, I wouldn't be surprised if he is already starting to bulk up gradually and actually struggled to make the weight this time around. The gut did look a bit like HGH is being used, I like to think not, but it did look like it.

not only did he screw up infront of a small crowd, damn that was the biggest ufc event so far :!: ufc made screens and everything for millions of dollars, the ****ing stadium was packed with over 50.000 people and than all he does is "not much fighting"-style :? he should watch more fedor fights, fedor shows you how too be a winner and please the fans at the same time.
