2 hard hitters hows big daddy do with the acorn? i see a long exhausting fight with bowe outboxing shavers for the win although shavers has his moments early almost koing the big daddy.

Bowe might have to get up off the canvas at some point. But if he had to, he would.
The only outcome i see is Bowe stopping Shavers.IMO

good call almost the way i see it although shavers has the punchers chance to possibly stop or ko bowe.

Bowe doesn't outbox Shavers . After getting hurt or down if at all , Bowe ends matters with Shavers inside the distance like he did with Herbie Hide.

A man who get's hit a very large amount in a fight against the hardest puncher of all time.
You have to go with Shavers.

Bowe would knock him out. Big size advantage, big skill advantage... And the acorn wasn't the most durable himself. He'd get crushed.

Just how I envisage it. Earnie could n't outbox Bowe, but he'll always stand a puncher's chance.

I think Bowe wins this pretty handily...he may have to endure a scary moment or two along the way, but while comfortably ahead on the cards he stops him around 8 or 9.

    Agree with consensus so far.

I just don't see Bowe losing to this guy. Even if he is hurt badly, Earnie never did finish off those elite fighters--they escaped. Bowe was a tough guy with a big heart and I think it see's him through any of the rocky moments and he escapes as well. I sure don't see Earnie surviving once he's hurt and ready to go. Probably another one of those "if only Earnie had...." fight results. But it would be exciting while it lasted.

No love for Shavers in this thread eh?

Bowe would probably win by late stoppage or UD based on the boxing skills of both. Make no mistake though, it would be no cakewalk for Bowe like some here are saying. I wouldn't put it past Shavers to flatten him with one of his big right hands and have him in real big trouble. Quarry was a tough opponent for anyone. I don't think Bowe has an easy time with the Quarry who KO'd Shavers.

Bowe takes this one every time in my book, assuming he is well conditioned and focused that is. He had a great chin, good power, and was the taller/rangier fighter. Shavers didn't have the best of chins and couldn't outbox Bowe, and I don't see him knocking Bowe out either. I pick Bowe by mid rounds knockout.

I love Earnie, but all in all I don't see this as much of a contest, honestly. I think Bowe probably blows him away. Riddick had a great chin and all the weapons necessary to beat Shavers.

Shavers is getting under rated as usual.

Bowe takes it but it's a fight.
