It is kind of weird hes had three or four fights cancelled. I wonder if he has even trained for the fights?

The guy was a bit of a slob in his prime, why anyone would think he can motivate himself into any decent shape after all those years off and at age 40 is beyond me. He's about the last guy I'd count on to come back. He looked washed-up at age 29 !

Holyfield and McCall are out there in superb shape representing the old-timers.
Bowe gave up training properly around 1993 and has hardly fought in the last 10 years and that's why he's fallen light years behind guys like that.

Billy Zumbrun would probably murder Bowe in a rematch.

He needs to hand the cash purse back from the last fight in Sweden, the one he failed to show up for after getting paid in advance.

He keeps arranging fights and then cancelling. There were rumours that he could be sued for withdrawing from his latest fight as he may have accepted money up front.

I never thought we would see him back in the ring after his wars with Golota. It was quite sad watching him toil with guys he would have blitzed in his hayday - even though I was intrigued to see what he had left.

I hope he just calls it a day now and fades very quietly into permanent retirement.

There have been 4 rumoured fights for Bowe since he fought Zumbrun - Michael Steeds, George Limberger, Paul ‘Rocky’ Phillips and Mikael Lindblad.

All of them have either fallen through or been cancelled. Not only did Bowe seem shot in his last fight, but the longer it goes on with him out of the ring the worse and rustier he'll be as well. Bowe vs Zumbrun was nearly 2 and a half years ago now.
