Certainly. I was actually thinking McCarty was a new fighter at first, and I keep up with very few fighters from this century.

Davey Moore left the ring on his own power, but passed out in his dressing room and died two days later.

 

Paret didn't slip into a coma, he was in it as soon as the fight ended. Other guys like Frankie Cambell and all those other guys were awake to get to the hospital, and in the case of Davey Moore, he thought he was okay.
