Two off the top of my head are Brandon Rios and Juan Diaz. Is it genetics? Are some people never meant to have a 6 pack? Or do these fighters focus more on sparring during training and less on their stomachs?

I think it's just genetics. Some fighters never look ripped even at weigh-ins. Even guys like Hopkins, Morales in his prime and loads of others just don't have the genetics.

Diaz looks fat and has tits at 135 pounds, but I'm not going to question his dedication and he's always shown good stamina.

Genetics is a lot of it I would say, fighters like Diaz were chubby as kids, once you're fat the chances of ever getting the sag off is nil. Like Arreola and Helenius for instance, they can lose all the weight they want but the fat sag is still there covering any underneath muscle, the pack can only show through if there is no sag covering it.

Its genetics back in the day when I was in shape I used to work out alot, I was toned lean muscular but not ripped...I had a couple of friends that did about half of what I did, and looked ripped. If you would have stood us together they would have looked like better shape....

It's primarily genetics. Once a guy is about 18, he has all the fat cells he's going to carry. Where they are located and how full they are will determine his phsyique from there on.

Mostly genetics - some people just can't get 6 packs. Maskaev, Rahman, Toney, all those guys have no 6-packs, none.
