    Hi All,
I Would like to ask you if its possible for me to join a boxing club in London like Fisher, Peac0ck, or St Pancras for example. Do they have any age limit? I am 28 years old. I know that I am not 18 or 20 and I don't know if they will be happy to train a person in my age so every answer would be much appreciated. would you recommend any other gym? I don't want anything fancy. I mean proper boxing training and nothing else. I work in London Bridge area.thank you All in advance and sorry if this threat has been done before!

you could try white collar boxing, someone made a thread about setting something up in London the other day, it is like professional boxing but you can do it even when you have had nothing to do with fighting before. you train properly and you can earn money out of it. might be worth a try.

good luck with whatever you decide

Firstly, you are never too old to start.

Do you just want to train or do you want to fight?

If you work in London Bridge then Rooney's or Fisher is your best bet.

Fisher is a serious amateur club, one of the best around, but perhaps not the best place for a beginner.

Rooney's is a white collar gym, slightly on the expensive side, but good training for beginners and you will have fun in their classes. They also run white collar shows.

In London a major consideration is where you live and work - you don't want two long commutes in a day. Where do you live? There could be good gyms beside your home.

Thanks a lot guys for your responses.I really appreciate!thank you All! Shall I ask you why Fisher club is not the best place to start? I have heard that is a really good place to do boxing plus is only 5 minutes walking from where I work so it is very convenient for me. my only consideration is my age. cause I am 28 and I don't know if they will accept people in my age. I have the basic knowledge. I was in boxing club for 6-7 months in the past but then I join uni and I left. I know that with the proper people you can increase your level and experience really fast. I Checked Rooney's and is very expensive plus it must be always busy. I want a serious small and quite place that you will learn with the best. I live central London very close to Baker street.

Don't mention your age again- it's not an issue. Your dedication and commitment will be judged though. Are you going to be one of the hundreds who walk into gyms every year saying they want to box and then **** off when they realise how tough it is just to become a half decent, or will you stick with it?

Your right about Rooney's - that's for taking money of city folk.

By all means give Fisher a go, but also try All Stars in Paddington. Double Jab in New Cross is just one stop from London Bridge - very good up and coming gym.

Hi and thanks for all the info! I am gonna pay a visit to Fischer club then! Great little small club with good history and I am sure that the atmosphere will be nice. probably hard training too. this is what I want, nothing fancy, nothing else. I am thinking to stick for good, I hope! but time will tell.. and I don't give up easy! :)
