A theory I have, is that God punished Arum with the death of his son, because Arum manipulated the career of Margarito by letting Mosley get away with steroid/EPO use against Margarito (to help GBP set up a subsequent fight between Floyd and Mosley) and then having Margarito "throw his fight/lay down" against Pac in a FIXED FIGHT, while Pac had loaded gloves and almost left Margarito blind. Arum almost died in a small plane crash too. Maybe it was another warning by God to Arum, to stop manipulating the career of Margarito. .
