Why Do Fans Of One Boxer Feel Its Necessary To attack Fans Of Another Fighter?

You Know How Much More Dysfunctional This Makes The Sport (the forum specifically) When Everyone Has This Crab In A Bucket Mentality...

Let The Best Man Win And Keep It Moving For The Health Of the Sport (and the forum) ...

exactly, somehow on the internet people feel the need to be much more offensive and defensive when their opinions are questioned... i say let the idiots be idiots, and decifer truth from pigheaded bull**** for yourself...otherwise we become just like the idiots

for my part, i really just try to go with the facts and give the man his due. of course if their's a fighter you can relate to most likely you'd back him, but even when alot of people know their wrong on something they always want to be right! who doesn't? somethings might be pretty obvious, and yet it surprises me how stupid or ignorant some people can be. hey, i'm mexican-american and wanted margo to beat pw, and as close as it was, pw won that fight. i actually was a fan since he beat mitchell and knew he'd give anyone a good fight. just cuz i back a fighter up and watch his fights doesn't mean i'm gonna blo him to unbeatable proportions like alot of fans, especially the young people, like to do. i like to hear other people's point of view, because you can actually be wrong sometimes, which is ok. i just think people should keep it real

exactly thats what im saying.... truth be told... i love to learn.. so i love being wrong... when im wrong that means im learning something and the next time i wont be wrong..

but i really like all boxers theres not very many boxers i dislike..

    admire margo for his resilence
    cotto for his focus
    paul for his bravery
    haye for his comedy
    flyod for his discipline

people need to stop looking at the negative and focus on the positive the sport would be a lot more enjoyable and people would learn more about fighters they supposedly "dislike" then they ever thought

Basically its very simple. An analysis would show that the posters on ESB have a little man syndrome synonomous with feelings of their own lack of athletic masculinity and thereby the need to attack boxers as being shot, bums or calling for their retirement. In addition other posters who challenge their opinions are called haters, nuthuggers or ***s.
Everyone here actually hates the sport and all who are connected with it.

i feel pretty much the same way. i may go off alittle, like when joan guzman bailed out of his fight with nate campbell or when floyd was saying he was better than Ali or Robinson, that's just disrespectful. i don't think i'll ever hate them, but that just seems very immaturish to me. i mean, others like monzon killing his wife/girlfriend is right out cold and just cowardly, as bad as it gets, but as a boxing fan and liking them as fighters or not, you've gotta respect what they've done, whether it's a career that lasted 5 years or 30 years, it's the level they took it too, but that's where many i think disagree. like many calling manny the greatest asian fighter for example, and there is a strong case for that, but then you look up fighting harada and makes you scratch your head. i didn't know too much about benny leonard, but after looking him up and actually watching the guy vs.lew tendler, a p4p southpaw ko artist, makes you think that could of been manny too. i ain't gonna overrate the oldies, but i ain't gonna underrate them either that's why i think alot of these young bucs need to do some research before dissing greats like Robinson or Ali. just my 2 cents

warrior 85 is spot on honestly.

you're very pro paul williams but asking people to join hands and love each other makes me think you need time off from the boards.

nothing wrong with objective criticism but it's true a lot of people are being childish and nationalistic about it.
