I've been trying to get my mates into boxing, but it's hard work when the mega bouts don't come off. It's much easier to get them started when a massive bout is on...and too much hard work when someone unknown to the casual fans is boxing. I have one on/off hardcore fan. He generally pays attention to everything British, plus Mayweather, Pacquiao, Haye, Klitschko...but doesn't know any other big names, or unknown names around the world.
Just sad. This really shows me how much boxing has changed. All of my friends are into boxing so I didn't think it was this bad.
This kid once said to me Haye is meant to be fighting Hatton to see who is the best in Britain. This was literally about 6 months ago, I was completely in shock for the next few days at the severity of said bull****.
