Back in the day there were many huge fights that took place in Monaco. Like Saudi Arabia nowadays. Monzon-Valdes 1 and 2 and Benitez-Moore come to mind. Oddly. Muhammad Ali never had a fight there. What other fights took place there?
Monzon vs Griffith. Valdes vs Briscoe Chavez vs Lockridge. McCallum vs Kalambay. Toney vs Dell'Aquila. Bunch of Matchroom fights. The dissipated interest from promoters I think is the reason we don't see major fights. Or just the money dried up.
