The fact is I made you look like a clown, and the fact you put Sturm on the list makes you like even more of a fool. Do you even follow this ****ing sport?
I fear this is the business of boxing. Stay-busy fights like Golovkin-Rosado is simply what the networks put on the schedule when major matches can not be made. Everybody that wants to know knows that Golovkin is really good. And he has a undefeated record - that alone is worth its weight in gold. They want to fight MWs with decent names, but nobody wants to fight Golovkin. Or rather - nobody wants to fight him for the money being offered. It has been rumored that undefeated SMW Edwin Rodriguez turned down a 500K dollars offer for a Golovkin fight. His management obviously thinks a defeat will lower his future prospects. They will need millions, not thousands. Also, a deal was apparently nearly struck with Thomas Oosthuizen, a undefeated SMW who is basically a whole head taller than GGG. But Oosthuizen, some unknown white dude from South Africa, was apparently not interesting for HBO. After this HBO took some initiative and handed GGG's management a list of 15 potential opponents and asked for feedback. According to himself, Abel Sanchez - Golovkin's trainer, ticked of all 15 names. And so it became Rosado-Golovkin, basically what HBO wanted if a 'proper' fight could not be made. HBO is likely to get a knockout on their show, Golovkin gets more exposure with minimum risk. Rosado gets at least a single payday in his life - could be a long time to the next. GGG basically needs more fans besides boxingheads and sports journalists.
funny how middleweights are "running scared" of GGG, but everyone at 154 have no problem jumping in the ring at the drop of a hat :rofl ps what fight were you watching? Martinez beat the **** out of KP
You're right that his resume is lacking big names. Even though he's 30 and a belt-holder, I judge him almost as a prospect. He has phenomenal power, that is clear to see. And his technical skills are underrated. He's bringing excitement to the division, but we won't know how good he really is until he takes on the best of the division. I just hope he gets the opportunity to do that.
qwert And Combo We will see...but i am guaranteeing you two that it will be a bloody slaughter. we are talking about a Silver medalist in the 2004 Olympics against a fighter without any amateur back ground! GGG has wins over Luican Bute, Andy Lee, Andre Dirrell. ...... Just watch it will be a bloody mess! This match up reminds me of win Golden Boy wanted Alaverz to fight Tito Ortiz but he ended up getting a game Lopez. do you remember what happen when Alaverz fought Lopezlol same match up... trust me!
Funny how Dibella goes on and on about nobody knowing Golovkin, yet he's got Sir Gayo fighting yet another euro level contender when Golovkin is all but begging for a fight with nothing but top 10 guys. And yeah, Macklin would be a GREAT choice of opponent for GGG, but K2 went straight UP, then down the list of contender, and for some reason, the Knife was not agreeable. So they instinctively went down to the next weight class and found a solid top 10 LMW, who happens to be about the biggest LMW in the division, and he's making a strong run of it lately.
It probably will be a slaughter, but that can be fun to watch! And maybe these kind of showcases are what Golovkin needs right now. They give him the opportunity to build his name as an attraction. Are you sure GBP wanted Alvarez to fight Tito Ortiz? I don't think Alvarez has much experience in MMA.
Man you are stupid ***** boy. You made your self look stupid. You didnt even understand what I was saying. You are so caught up in the names. Listen ***** boy, GGG people picked Rosado because they know its a huge mis-match. A fighter with three big wins against three nobodies, a fighter with out a amateur record, and also a fighter in a LOWER WEIGHT CLASS. Let me ask you a question ***** boy, Do you think Lopez vs Alaverz was a good matchup? A (C level) Jr. Welterweight vs a (B+/A level) Jr Middleweight.
He had a great amateur career, about 350 fights including wins over Direll, Bute (KO), Geale, Andy Lee, Korobov and only 5 defeats. Look at Lomachenko's thread, people already say that he's gonna destroy Broner. But in contrast to Lomachenco Golovkin is a terrific puncher.
I'm not sure what the situation is with Macklin. I think he's holding out for a Chavez fight, and who can blame him? He's an intelligent man who knows his worth, and a Chavez fight is a fantastic opportunity for him. I have to say I don't share your criticism of Martinez. He's struggled his whole career to reach this point and now he is in the twilight of his career he wants the pay days and attention he deserves.
I stopped caring about what you wrote a long time ago. Tito Ortiz? :rofl:rofl Keep going full ******, son.
Oh god triple ggg gave everyone a huge fight just 3 months ago with a top 10 opponent It was a great fight that has 3 knock downs in it.rosado is coming in all pumped up and were gonna see a war.rosado is bigger taller and has a massive reach advantage..so let's see whats he got.
My only criticism of Martinez is his mgmt. Dibella talked and talked about how nobody knew who GGG was, then when both are looking for fights, the second GGG signs Rosado, Dibella announces the Murray affair. Look, I give Martinez props for coming up to MW and beating the top guys in the division, but in order to maintain that respect, he's gotta fight Golovkin. Everyone but Golovkin, Macklin, JR, Sturm, and Geale are huge mismatches for Martinez. He's already beat Mack and Jr, and both in impressive fashion. Geale and Sturm won't fight him since they don't need him to build their purses. That leaves Golovkin. That fight will sell. GGG is an HBO fighter with a huge promoter. In Germany or Vegas, that fight would be huge. But for the sake of Martinez legacy, it won't be made, because no one wants to see Martinez get hurt. He's 38, and never has had the sounded chin. :think
