Yup, a lot the big fighters out there are making an effort to make fights with other top quality fighters. 2007 was a great year and seeing as Haye and Macca are getting it on, I'm hopeful 2008 can be similar. I just want to thank those boxers/promoters responsible for this.
Unfortunately the fans are still assholes and there were a bunch of people claiming Calzaghe is scared of Hopkins, Maccarinelli is scared of Haye, Pacquiao is scared of JMM, blah blah blah and when these fights get made they act like they never said anything. good thread though. Thanks to the fighters, promoters, and tv networks
The pool of fans will continue to dwindle as every major fight is put on PPV. The only reason we are seeing increased numbers for views, is because the companies have almost eliminated signal theft.
