what year of mags are you looking for?i have a ton of them

 

im looking for The Ring November 87 issue - The Monzon interview in particular.

if you want me to buy more than 1 ill easy buy say 10 to make the P&P worthwile

 

What always irked me a bit about that issue is that there was no mention of the Monzon 'scoop' on the cover. It had Tyson on, which is fair enough, but you'd think they at least have it running across the top (probably a small photo of Darrin Van Horn or something). :nono :yep

 

i'll check for you and see if i still have that issue,then let you know

 

i guess mike tyson was the fighter people wanted to see then and it made for sales.i lived through the 60's and 70's ali was on many more covers then even tyson was.

can you give me the name of the magazine?i got several boxes of boxing magazines from the 70's and 80's i bought and never looked at.i'll go through that lot of magazines first

 

The mag was called Definitely True Gym Tales. I think Lester Bromberg edited and Bill Gallo doodled the events "as they happened".

i'm pretty sure i have RING nove. 1987 i'll look sunday for that issue.what top 100 are you speaking of? i'm sure i'd have some of them for sure,with over 6000 mags takes a bit of time to search,i do have them in some kind of order but still takes a while,you'll hear from me

my top 100 may not be your top 100 mags,i have magaazines called jack dempsey sport from 1938, arena,arena and strength both from the late 1930's,all kinds of mags with ali on the cover that only lasted 1 or 2 issues names like boxing and wrestling from the 1960's,boxing and wrestling from the 1950's about 71 issues to that complete set i think,comics of joe louis from the 1930's i think,issues devoted to fights like ali/frazier,ali/foreman,special issues on rocky marciano,got a soft cover book from the 1950's with stories on marciano and many others from that era and much more
