Saw Mayer fought on Top Rank earlier

Went on the ESPN+ app and the boxing icon was gone, searched Mayer, boxing and Top Rank and nothing came up

Is boxing no longer aired on any form of ESPN and all libraries removed?

    I miss Friday night fights

The deal ESPN had was with Top Rank and that ended. No plans for any other boxing either.

Youtube tv hasn't been able to come to an agreement with ESPN so it's no longer part of the package.

I also had ESPN + but dropped it like a hot potato when boxing left the building.

Top Rank apparently have a new home lined up, but have yet to make the announcement. But the new deal is significantly smaller than what ESPN offered, and with fewer dates, so Top Rank are looking to set themselves up on several networks.
Top Rank are also reportedly already letting fighters and staff go as they are hemorrhaging money at the moment.

Most of this comes from Rick Glaser, so take it with a triple pinch of salt.

Did you watch the Mayer fight?

    What was it live on?

Ill probably drop espn+ unless they take on another promotion but it seems like they are retreating from combat sports

TR put it on several smaller OTT platforms, like Tubi. I think they are trying new things out of sheer desperation because they need a big network to sustain their operation size.
It would be great if boxing were to be featured on more platforms, but I doubt these services are paying enough to keep any big promotion profitable.

Not surprising really, today you can't make enough good fights for an ESPN boxing card much less a major PPV event
