All depends on what Marquez has left...young fighters like JuanMa and Gamboa are not people you wonna be facing if you're faded, because they have big killer instincts and will jump all over you.

Really looking forward to this weekend's fights. Still thinking about one or two of these but my predictions so far would be:

Lopez v Marquez: I reckon Juanma will start strong and drop Rafa in the opening round. Marquez could recover and make it an interesting fight from there but I think he'll get overwhelmed and either stopped early or during the middle rounds. Lopez TKO1

Green v Johnson: Both will struggle weighing in at 168lbs. Green's skills are somewhat underrated and I can see him outboxing Johnson and taking the decision. Don't think there'll be a knockout. It's a close one though. When the fight was first announced I fancied Johnson but I now think Allan Green should win this. Green UD

Judah v Matthysse: The only fight of Matthysse I've seen was against Vivian Harris and he didn't impress me much. The stoppage was awful and he got hit far too often for my liking. Judah should be able to box circles round him. Judah UD

Casey v Hyland: Can't see Hyland winning this one. Willie Casey is faster than him and only getting better. Paul Hyland's probably got the better amateur background but Casey's better suited as a pro. Casey UD

Guerrero v Escobedo: Looking forward to this one as it should be a pretty open matchup. Guerrero UD

Rees v Watson: I think John Watson might be a little out of his depth here and Gavin should get a comfortable 12 round win. Rees UD

Yeah I realise that..... but I'm not at all sold on Lopez, against non-glass jawed opponents, especially those with a dig.

Even though he's quite small at the weight I think that Marquez is probably on a par with the hardest hitters in the division..... and is easily more skilled than anyone Lopez has been in with thus far.

I wouldn't rule him out against Gamboa either.... he looks brilliant against decent opponents, but has been stuck on his arse a few times now, might prove his undoing?

I have a feeling Lopez ends the fight very early.

Wonder what odds you'd get on Gavin Rees and Paulie Hyland both winning by knockout?
