    Show me a promoter who's a caring,compassionate, humanitarian and i'll show you a ****,broke promoter.
    They arent charities.

    I think people like Bob Arum, and Lou DiBella are compassionate, but they are business men first and foremost. I believe they care about their fighters, but slightly more about the money they helping him make. I don't think it is one or the other.
     
  4. Dibella is a real class act. I met him in LV at one of his shows, and he let a fan get in the ring and propose to his girlfriend. Dibella went on to get the guys info, and last I heard Dibella sent the guy a copy of the video and lifelong passes to all Dibella fights.

    Exactly. Usually the ex-boxers turned promoters do not work out well, but to my surprise Golden Boy looks to be doing well. I do like how all those guys like Oscar and Shane and Bernard all join together. That is good for boxing. Better than Arum or King being in charge.
