    Boxing prospects for 2011

Read this great article on some of the names to watch out for this year.

To be honest I was unfamiliar with 22 year old Heavyweight Edmund Gerber, sounds one to watch.

The full list and article is here:

Do you agree with the names on the list and who are your tips for the top?

Well imo these guys should show something in 2011 : Deontay Wilder, Mateusz Masternak, Sadam Ali.

Gerber is nice... But i think Erkan Teper is the better German Prospect. More Skills and taller than Gerber.
But i think Richard Towers from UK is the Heawyweight Prospect for 2011. Very strong, fast and big. 203 Cm an he is faster than all the other Giants. Towers footwork is like dancing.

Wilder's a bum. His first loss will come when he first steps up to C level opponents. Ali is class, one of my favourite youngsters and Masternak also looks awesome.

Richard Towers has one major problem, he's 31. Though he's talented he has to make a BIG impact this way and reach a European title shot by the end of the year if he's even going to get near the top.

Since DeGale will pick up some sort of belt before the year is out, Frankie Gomez takes the POTY award by default.

Why you think Wilder is bum? He got nice right, good technique, footwork. Imo he should get someone stronger.

Harold Sconiers had him all but gone. He's chinny and being very very protected. He looks skilled beating these tomato cans but thats pretty much the only folk he will look good against.

With a team behind him like he has they should know to allow him to put weight on. He's chinny, protected and not particularly good. His 14-0 (14) record looks good until you notice guys like Nichols on it, Dan Sheehan etc. I'm very happy to say when he steps up he will be starched, though I honestly imagine that'll be when he's 29-0 (29).

Well, in my opinion he should get some serious fights in 2011. Maybe his team protect him but...he has to show something. He is olympic bronze medalist and i think that he can be really dangerous.

He needs some serious fights, but with the likes of Gerber, Helenius, Pulev, Boystov etc all just a few years either side of him Wilder can't keep waiting. The division will end up being very competitive in the post Klitschko era.

Flo Simba from South Africa, originally from Congo, 8-0-7KO. Knock out Haye right now

Wilder's problem is that he keeps his hands too low. His foot work could use some work
