I know they've let us down recently with domestic cards, but the international shows have made up for it. £10 per month is a good price, but they need to keep things going.
Yeah definitely well happy with it.. As far as im concerned there's to many good fights on there for it not to be worth it....
Good month for BoxNation-- (1) Chris van Heerden vs Matthew Hatton (2) Richard Abril vs Sharif Bogere (3) Bernard Hopkins vs Tavoris Cloud (4) Timothy Bradley vs Ruslan Provodnikov (5) Billy Joe Saunders vs Matthew Hall (6) Arthur Abraham vs Robert Stieglitz no. 2 (7) Brandon Rios vs Mike Alvarado no. 2 Although picture quality last night didn't seem as good as usual for the international cards...
The Timothy Bradley vs Ruslan Provodnikov bout, as far as im concerned was worth the ten spot on its own.. Happy days..
It's a channel that simply has to keep going. If it were solely Sky, we wouldn't get all the bouts we've been seeing. Fighters like Khan and Haye would have probably gone to Primetime as they aren't getting what they want out of SS, but luckily BoxNation is a nice subscription service which is, in a sense, a pay-per-view sort of platform where you not only get what you subscribed for, but a months worth of good ****, so I guess that helps the fighters and the fans who won't end up getting ripped if they see one round in the fight they paid for because they'll be getting a months worth of action. The best time to subscribe would be the 7th of April (next sunday) That way you get everything up till the weekend of Floyd's fight. Serious value between 7th April and 5th of May.
Alvarado Rios II was quality. Khan, Mayweather, Martinez, Hopkins etc all on Box Nation. Great stuff. I hope they focus on international boxing. I don't need Bunces boxing hour or any commentry, if its cheaper with the normal feed then do that. Only bring in special guests for Haye Chisora type fights. Sky can focus on domestic stuff. I'd rather BN do a HUGE domestic card every 2 months then shite. Go big or go home.
Still struggle to understand their logic that using HBO/SHO commentary would cheapen the channel (or something to that effect) But yeah on the whole they've been great and long may it continue. EDIT: But oh yeah i'm cancelling forever if they don't get Donaire fight.
Boxnation is brilliant I agree, its a shame the man behind it is a total bellend, it could have done really done well.
