This should remain in this forum, it has major significance for boxing. The deal could secure BoxNation's long-term future.

The fans on twitter, and I think you know why. They seem be asking Gareth A. Davies' opinion. I have no interest in MMA at the moment but this appears to be great news for the sport.

I think it makes BoxNation meatier and more appealing to a wider audience. It signals the channels' intentions to deliver exciting content to the fans. If it helps the channel prosper then it's great.

In my opinion the first twelve 12 months have been excellent. Hopefully the naysayers will ease off and let BoxNation grow. It always need time, but for me it has delivered.

Was asking Boxnation to show Bellator shows but the said they where focused on Boxing for the time being... with Bellator signing Mo Lawal, Paul Daley and moving to Spike TV in the near future it would be a good organisation to try and hold of the licenses

I'll reserve judgement until we see how much MMA they show. I pay my monthly fee to have the luxury of watching boxing round the clock, don't want to have to watch another sport on a channel I pay for because it is dedicated to boxing.

Nothing against MMA by the way, but it's a totally different sport. It's all very well saying it will make Boxnation more appealing for a wider audience, if that's the case then why not just go all ****ing out and start showing football etc, that would appeal to a wide audience...

edit: in case anyone jumps the gun, I am in no way suggesting they should start showing football, was just using that as an example of being a totally different sport! haha.

i dont mind them showing MMA , but if they have an event that clashes with a boxing event, and the the boxing event dosent take precident i wont be too amused.
