Does anyone know how they choose their 5 star fights? Groves v Froch isn't 5 star, but Stevenson v Fonfara and Sturm v Soliman are? Odd choices.
Boxrec are good for checking up on fighters records but other than that there star rating for fights, rankings etc are a load of bollocks
the star rating of a fight is given by the amount of boxrec points each fighter has, both fighter have to have a certain amount of points each for a fight to be 5 star. i think Salido -Loma was only 2 star becuase Loma didnt have much points when in reality it should probebly have been a 4 or 5 star fight
its on there that Keith Thurman is fighting maidana on the undercard of mayweathers next fight in september? nothing has been announced
Ah ok - makes sense. Its bugged me for ages when you see a pretty obviously one-sided fight, like Stevenson v Fonfara show up as 5 star and then domestic scraps you know will be evenly matched, like Rees v Buckland not show up. Makes sense if it's just based on their ratings though.
