If this fight happens, who do you pick to win? And what happens if the winner fights Chisora?

Boystov knockout... early-mid rounds. This would be a much better fight than Boystov/Walker.

I personally want Hammer to win both fights. I want some new blood in the HW division.

Well Boystov has a lot more talent and potential than Hammer does.. The guy just needs to say healthy. he's extremely injury prone, and some big fights for him have fallen through as a result.

But Boytsov hasn't stepped up yet.

Actually Boystov is only 27... only 2 years older than Hammer, but he's been around forever.

    Hammer or Hamer?

Not that it makes a difference. Boytsov decisions either.

Christian Hammer may be a bit underrated, he beat Leif Larson more decisively than Odlanier Solis did.

    This.

But Hammer is a decent test for him right now. Certainly not a huge challenge, but Hammer has OK experience, and seems to have a pretty good chin as well. If Boytsov can put out a high workrate, look aggressive yet in-control, and take out Hammer within a few rounds, that will tell us something. If Boytsov cruises to an easy UD, then that's pretty much the end for him.

If Boytsov does KO Hammer, if he CAN stay healthy, and if his new management can actually make things happens for him (he has the same "high risk / low reward" problem as Wilder) then it will be very interesting to see how far he can go.

He's still young, he has decent (not exceptional) skills, and he has 1-punch KO power in both hands. Plus, he's very good looking, hence very marketable. - But he's a little slow & stiff. Can power & ring generalship overcome this, all the way to the top-ten? I doubt it, but hopefully we shall see. Whatever happens, It sure will be interesting. The HW division is waking up.

Yeah but kayoed by Wach? :!: That isn't very flattering.

Also, LL kind of sucks. He fought close with Solis, but the worst version ever.

Wach's KO percentage may not be impressive, but he hits like a tank. (He certainly got Wlad's attention.) He just doesn't have the speed or skills to actually put a lot of opponents down.

I haven't seen the Wach-Hammer fight, but Hammer probably just made a mistake & got caught. It happens.

Wach is slow, but he's very strong. Hammer was winning the fight, outboxing Wach until that punch landed. We shouldn't make too much of it, anybody can get caught.

Hammer was moved too fast when was in his early 20s and had few pro fights, he should never have been put in with Wach at that stage.

I agree LL isn't very skilled (he started boxing in his 30s) although he is strong. Solis has declined and is very overrated now - he's inexplicably been moved into the top ten HWs by The Ring. After struggling with people like Saglam, Airich and Larsen, in reality he's not a top 20 HW now.

Hammer fougt Wach in his 8 fight. He got caught with a big shot. just happens in boxing. He Looks better now. And yeah Wach can Punch. He is a big ass dude if he hits you clean with a shot like that most heavyweights will get stopped. This would be a much better fight than the Walker fight wich just would be a bad fight.

Hammer got brutally KO'd. But Wach does hit very hard when he does connect I agree with you there... Hammers chin isn't bad, not great either. pretty average.

You know, nobody really has Christian Hammer on their radar, but the guy is only 25 years old. He is very skilled, he hasn't lost in 3 years, and he's KO'd his last six opponents.

If Berliner is correct that "he looks better now" then maybe this is a guy to start watching. Fighters DO often get better, especially at that age.

Imagine if Hammer actually beats Boytsov? I mean, I wouldn't put money on it, but imagine if it does happen ....
