Like I said you can only go off the eye test but the eye test can let you down. Someone like Izu looks great against bums but you don't get to see things like his stamina, chin or heart because he doesn't have to draw for those things when he fights poor opposition which is why I wouldnt have him in my top 20 even though he has good offensive potential.

As much I don't rate Pulev I still have to put him in my top 8 over the likes of a Whyte, Breazeale etc because let's face it he has fought at a higher level we know what he brings at those levels. Guys like Miller, Stiverne, Izu, Briggs, Granat, H. Fury are unknown at the top level either because they have never fought there or haven't fought there in 4 years or more.

Well anyone with high boxing IQ would see a lesser man than Breazeale would have been knocked out cold within 3 rnds no matter what sanctioning body ranks them in that fight. That would have NOTHING to do with anyone ranked under him.Why would it? Pulev wouldnt even match well with Izu and i would bet against Pulev if they fought next yet you are telling me you dont rank him in a top 20? The only reason i have Pulev ranked at all is i know hes a crafty guy agaiinst some of the guys who arent ranked in my top 10 and he needs to fight again.

I agree to this. Izu has never faced anyone that could stand up to his power so he didn't think Breazeale could either. He didn't plan for this fight to go more than 4 rounds obviously. Once he threw everything he gave him, which up until that point he was destroying Breazeale, Breazeale came back and suffocated the smaller man. Izu was gassed and that's why he lost. Didn't help that he was fighting a super heavy that kept leaning and falling on top of him haha. He shouldn't lose any spot in ranking tho. He'll learn from this a lot.

Izu should drop 20 places. He's a professional boxer he should not gas.
