    Rip. Never a great fighter, but he took them all on, and fought a lot of fights on ESPN and Tuesday Night Fights so that we can see him.

    Sorry to hear the bad news, read about it earlier. He was not afraid to fight anyone no matter how good they were.

    I remember him - a journeyman from the 80s and 90s, one of those guys you'd see pretty regularly on USA's Tuesday Night Fights and ESPN's Top Rank Boxing programs.

    Like you say, not a great fighter, but one of those blue collar guys who form the backbone of the sport.
