    -----------
he sure did, too cool to even shake gattos hand, there is no excuse for arrogance, big win or not. Kirby needs to learn a thing about winning like a gentlemen, not jumping up and down like a boy and spraying the commentry panel.

    Hi guys
I just watched the replay and he did not brush Mick, he shook hands and had a chat before the belt presentation, and then after getting the belt he took off after Nath to pass a few final words and he was pretty excited about winning!
The Little Big Man, Chris McCullen contacted me today and said that Mick had said to the commentary panel "You all wrote me off, now you're not writing me off are you?" He also apparently gave a shout out to the ESB forum

Yeah did Mick have many amateur fights?
Cos he hs not had many pro fights right?

TBH i do not see why Mick Kirby has to stop and shake Gatto's hand.

The OPBF is the regional body of the WBC and you must be rated by the OPBF to challenge for the title, they normally rate national champs of each country in the region and make up the rest from the top flight from each nation

I reckon its amazing that Kirby has such an aptitude for the ring after having had only 6 amateur fights and the same amount of pro.
Now that he has beaten Briggsy I hope he goes on a does well, since he had such a late start he could probably have another 4-5 good years in the ring, look forward to seeing him progress

Was a hell of a slugfest ..but Nathan Briggs has to be the most frustrating fighter to watch ...has so much potential and showed he would of outboxed kirby if he listened to Hurricane and just stepped back ..

But Kirby has some granite hands & chin and if you stand in front of him like Nate did well kirby is going to knock you out!!

I would like to see a rematch for sure ...

P.S - Kirby was calling out "Sol" post fight ..as in Haumono

Just a shout out from Alex "awesome fight from both boys & congrats 2 kirby on the OPBF"......I agree mate if he had listen to his brother and fight his fight the results would of differ abit but in saying that would of been hard to try to move around with the size of these boys:patsch with kirby pressuring him the whole time it reminded me of the haumono & wilson fight.... J/lewis & the other dude was screaming at him to use his jab & finish him off:-(........ Good on kirby calling out solo & to bring on any H/W's in aussie :good

Kirby, Nathan, Col and Alex have all fought each other, how about one of them fight Soloman?

So Hopate and Haumono stand in the same corner in the same weight division, can they fight each other?

Zappa and Ahmed are in the same corner?

Anyone else in the same weight division in the corner together?
