If your not bothered then why go as far as to call my list a joke ? Put your list up and we'll all pick holes in that !

Look mate, I'm talking about your changes. Your list was the only one with credibility actually and far better than the other two or three put up. It was only when you changed it then I felt maybe that it wasn't thought through properly.

I may do a list, but typing out 10 names without aforethought isn't something I would generally do. Where does Driscoll go? Can Turpin get in based on that one great win? Ted Kid Lewis is a lock for Top 5 for me, but where?

All's I know that anyone that puts Hatton in needs laughing out of the place (I know you didn't, of course, just thought i'd mention it).

No worries pal. And I know Gaz said about the whole McGuigan thing but it wasn't that it was just i'd remembered Hamed, and even though I didn't like him I thought he warranted a spot. And yeah I agree with Hatton. Really didn't want to put Joe in there but can't begrudge him some credit.

Ha Ha Deal mate - Even though you ****ers knocked us out in the Semi's :)

Good luck against Chelsea too. It would be superb to 1. See Rafa and the whole Chelsea joke go without a trophy whilst we're clearing up (hopefully on a European front) and 2. It'd be lovely to see Moyes' and Evertons hard work over the last 4 years pay off with a worthy trophy

I wouldn't be too surprised at the inclusion of Benn, Eubank, or even Hatton in peoples lists. I mean when was the last time that Ted Kid Lewis was on tv? People can only comment on who they've seen fight, not just copy names from more knowledgeable posters. Any pointers to the best fights from the older guys would be cool to check youtube for:)

I don't know how many are on YouTube but Lewis vs. Jack Britton should get a few hits, they fought each other 21 times in 5-6 years....;O)

Another problem comparing generation is that boxers years ago tended to have only one world title to shoot at.

I'm a massive Benn fan but none of the world titles he contested even existed when Turpin was around. He picked up a minor title at 160, lost it and instead of having to then either trying to regain it or move all the way to 175 he was able to go to 168 and pick up 1 of the four titles there.

If he'd have fought in Turpins day theres every chance that once he couldn't make 160 he'd have "just" been a Euro level light heavyweight in the latter part of his career.
