British Super middle belt

Surely Cal Smith will be set to vacate the British belt before long. Who do people see as being in pole position,
I'd like to see Fielding vs Blackledge in a return. Brophy has pushed himself out of the frame (at least temporarily) Jamie cox is in prison, literally leaves the above mentioned...

Interesting if blackledge was given a full camp to prep..! Thoughts

 

IMO I don't see that Brophy should stay in the mix, for the sole reason that he has done nothing to be considered in the first place. Prior to the Groves loss,which I won't read to much into his only credible fight was a tough win against a well below title level Tobias Webb. He's not in the same league as the likes of blackledge and fielding. At least the lads he's been in with don't show that....
As for selling Fielding vs Blackledge, if it's on the undercard of a Liverpool show, course it sells - for one the British title is on the line, fielding sells tickets galore & LB has built a decent following, it doesn't need to be mega sales.

 

Would he? I know they've sparred quite a bit in recent times, but I also know that their respective trainers are best of friends. Harrison has actually done Blackledges corner & matvienko has passed up for Rocky, so I don't know that the respective camps would be overly eager for it... But if the Lonsdale is on the line who knows. I'd sway for a much improved , more disciplined Blackledge to take a close points win.

 

The Bolton show is advertised as him defending his CW, but reading between the lines, seen as he's now the only SMW signed to FW & Jamie Cox being in jail, I wouldn't be surprised to see him contest the WBO euro title which will now be vacant of course. As FW loves those belts & will want to keep it in house if possible.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Blackledge get looked after a little better by FW now tbh

 

I don't see P smith as wanting to be sitting around on the domestic level, he was apparently sounding out Murray , so he will only want big opportunities I'd guess, not fighting for a belt he once held which will of been vacated by his little brother. So rocky & Luke are the two I'd look at,

Boxrec now has heffron, markham & Cameron making up the top 10, given blackledge has already beat two of them I'd say he's in a good position, though I don't know a lot about Heffron

 

Wouldn't be surprised to see that happen though I'd favour either blackledge or fielding against either.. All provided smith vacates obviously

 

Honestly wouldn't know whether Paul can make 168, as for whether he's actively training yes I presume so. He was scheduled to box the other week- on Callum's undercard but got sick.. He's due out on Crolla card on 7may. Doubt he will be in with anyone other than a run out, then maybe one big fight before he turns it in.

 

I really don't know a great deal about him, other than he was an excellent Amatuer and a few who know him tip him for great things - the Khan spar was something else I'm told. I do know the reason he's so well travelled is he's not been allowed a British license over his criminal history etc... Who knows though how good he can be, seems to have bags of power though.
