    Something just occured to me.

Brock Lesnar came back from a life threatening illness and in his first fight back faced his toughest opponent. A big, unbeaten KO specialist who many thought was unstoppable. He was badly hurt and dominated for about 4 out of 5 minutes in the first round. He somehow managed to not get KTFO, which no other man who faced Carwin has managed and he came back and won.

He IS a fighter, in the true sense od the word, and a real tough SOB. He is not a naturally gifted striker but I guess the beauty of MMA is that it is a melting pot of different styles an techniques. I have said before wrestling leaves me cold. I am from the UK and we have no wrestling traditions or infrastructure.

I think I have either been completely out of order or at least taken a too simplistic and dismissive view of his acheivments. So I apologise. It's easy when on message boards to get in that 'debating society' mentality and argue points wether you truly believe them or not. I maintain that he looked a bit ungainly and awkward when under attack from Shane but what did all Shanes other opponents look like? They looked like someone who had been KTFO that's what they looked like.

Look I understand the backlash for the "worlds baddest man" comments and the way people overrank him as the #1 HW, but the fact remains Brock Lesnar IS a fighter, and a very inexperienced fighter at that. To accomplish what he has in only 6 fights at an age when most guys are contemplating retirement is simply stunning.

I think, at least for me anyway, that if there is a 'backlash' it's because he was in the WWF.

If he was never in the WWF I would probably love him, but there is something about an ex WWF guy succeeding in MMA that makes me think that a bunch of redneck ****-cancers are sitting around pointing at each other with their giant foam fingers thinking that it proves pro wrestling is somehow real.

    Well, one thing for sure...

You can no longer question that guys chin. Carwin hits like a truck. And he got blasted with two elbows that I'm 99% sure would have caved my head in, and he still retained consciousness. Not only did he not lose consciousness, he also retained a relatively clear head.

That's damn impressive. And I'm far from a huge Brock Lesnar fan. Far, far from it. However, no matter my opinion, you can't change facts, and that man is a monster and his chin is no longer in question...

    Holy **** you are stupid.

Taking an awfully big risk to have a guy damn near get KO'd and then damn near get stopped in a fixed fight.

i have common sense. and common sense says if that was any other ref the fight would have been stopped.

but your right i shouldn't make such bold statements without even posting reasons. it's kind of like trolling.. but trust me, i know my ****. the fight probably wasn't fixed, but i just wanted to post an alternative view in way that it would be noticed. not saying it's rational, but it's what i did. i do have common sense though.

btw: beebs hates me because we disagree on who's going to win toney/couture.. he insulted me but i got him back worse. now his purpose in life is to destroy me
