how would broner KO lucas? a guy his own size, who bangs harder than he does, has a solid chin, not just a 1D come-forward brawler (some of those combo's he was throwing against Ajose were JMM-like), good footwork, good engine, been in with top level opposition over 33 fights, has more KO's than Broner has bouts, one of the best finishers of this era easily. The only fact here is if lucas was reese, and managed to land what reese did; that fight could easily of been ALOT different, I hope broner's undeserved arrogance (I am a mayweather fan) keeps up, because it will give him a rude awakening.
2/3 of the voters chose Matthysse by KO??? You know that Judah lasted 12 and Alexander lasted 10 in fights that they certainly won rounds off of Matthysse, if not as many rounds as he.
not sure Broner can beat Lucas fighting flat-footed. The Matthysse body attack I feel would be the difference. Broener seems to be suspect to the body. By hey, until they fight ya never know.
Yes & Lucas has grown from that he's not letting it go to the judges anymore,5 last bouts is all the proof you need.Lucas is bigger/stronger granite chin so broner can't hurt Matthysse but Lucas surely can.We might see broner on his cycyle for the first time & if he makes the mistake to stand toe2toe like with his other opponents it'll be a shorter night than most ppl expect..
Okay I need to comment on this debate. I like what I am seeing from Adrian the problem Broner and from what I am witnessing he really is a problem for his opponents. Now having had Ajose Olusegun face Lucas Matthyse my respect for Matthyse has gone up even more and believe me it was very high before their contest. Whilst I know Ajose had a better performance in him I need to point out to people that Matthyse is far from a crude banger ala his country man Maidana. He is an excellent technical fighter. The robberies he suffered against Judah and Alexander have made him a better fighter. Ajose's trainer Joe Mensah like I thinks Matthyse is an excellent fighter and Ajose himself has confirmed that he is by far the best puncher he has faced. I think it is premature to say who would win between these two at this stage but would make an excellent fight potentially up there with some legendary battles such as Pryor vs Arguello, Nelson vs Fenech, Leonard vs Duran all based on the talents and stylistic match up. I am sold on Matthyse as you all know and I like what I am seeing from Broner. Great fights at 140 with the likes of Peterson, Ajose, Danny Garcia, Marquez and others. I don't foresee Amir Khan having much of a future unless matched extremely carefully.

and you could say broner is the flavor FOR black americans what is your ****ing angle? everybody i know thats a fan of broner have basic boxing knowledge and follow the spectacle, not the sport. Matthysse is a different animal than he was during the Judah fight. Way more aggressive and thats not an opinion, He has showed it.

This place is starting to make school playgrounds look like beacons of well reasoned and intelligent debate. 50-50 fight in my eyes, surprised more people dont see it this way. Both guys have the power and style to hurt each other badly. One of the best fights to be made in all of boxing right now.
I think Broner looks good and possibly even dominant in spots and then gets KO'd late. Matthysse by KO.
