Not seen it tonight but Khan looked awful last fight if brook has looked as bad then them finally fighting is a retirement fight.. the winner gets 1 more fight afterwards to prove they have anything to offer and the other one goes home. Would have been huge. Such a massive shame it didn’t happen. Could have broken records and would have sold out Wembley.
It would be fantastic if Kell was purely looking bad to sucker Khan into taking a fight with him ! It would be worthy of an Academy Award ! But let’s be real he looked poor and logic would suggest getting to 147 to fight Khan would probably make him worse? It’s probably his best chance of a decent payday where he has some chance of winning probably due to Khans chin . Hurd and the other top 154 guys would make mincemeat of him.
Special K is now Normal J. He’s done and if he’s deluded enough to want to fight the likes of Spence again then it will be more than an eye socket that breaks. If Eddie is a true mate of his then he’d tell him to retire if he can’t get the rival khan fight.
Brook should think about calling it a day tbh. He's stuck between a rock and a hard place atm. He's outgrown 147 and 154,s gonna lead to him getting beat off a mediocre opponent. Another idiotic decision from khan moving on to Crawford...cause kell looks there for the taking now. Another problem for kell is the ingle style is pretty much their own....not all that easy finding someone to replicate it.
That opponent was initially pencilled in for Fowler to blast out which should give you an idea of the levels we’re talking here. I don’t like writing off a fighter like Brook but he’s wasted 2018 with two pointless fights. He can say he feels reborn but to me it just looks like he’s lying to himself. He’s not committed to the 154 or 147 division, he’s just hanging round for one last payday. It’s very sad to see.
Idiotic by both really. I think Brook beats Khan easily, even if he is shot, but Khan has literally no chance against Crawford and it'll retire him. There's more money in the Brook fight, and the winner of that can have one last big fight that either will lose.
