Brook vs Spence hypothetically ?

    If Brook had fought Spence before Golovkin what would have been the result ?

    A lot of people say Golovkin beat the fight out of Brook that night and something can be read into the fact he had the same injury in his next fight against Spence that he had against Golovkin.

    Basically what im saying Prime Brook (before Golovkin) fighting the Spence he fought on the night what happens ?

    I’ve thought about it long and hard (insert Brook pun here) and genuinely cant think decide my brain says Spence still beats him in a competitive bout but my heart says Brook still has something that possibly Golovkin took.

    It was the opposite eye socket Spence caved. Brook had glass eyes and the two biggest bangers he faced shattered them. Wouldn't have mattered what order he fought them.

    Biggest waste of a career of any UK boxer i can remember....

    Should and could have taken over the 147 division but Hearn thought it was better to have bum fights then chuck him in with the biggest punching guy 2 weights above him....ended up with his eyeball being removed through the roof of his mouth....

    He wanted to make him a PPV start over here but the money for 147 was in America. Hearn needed to make big money offers to get the names over but wouldn't do that for whatever reason.

    Such a waste of talent

    I think there is a valid point in the OP. The Golovkin fight definitely added a lot of miles on Brook's clock IMO.

    It's a toughie I'd still lean slightly for spence,might just out man kell at the end.

    Brook wasted his career

    I can't say at his best he would have beaten Spence but it would have been a hell of a fight.

    Brook was extremely talented and should have achieved more than he did

    I have posted before that I thought Brook would have beaten Spence if he had avoided Golovkin. Spence is the goods but he would have lost to a less shop worn Brook. Not saying Brook is better than Spence but it was a very competitive fight for the most part even after him being chewed up and spit out by GGG. I think Spence may have been a bit too 'green' to have beaten a close to prime Brook.

    If Brook fought Spence before the orbital bone he would have won in my opinion.

    I said at the time when brook beat porter that they needed to strike while the iron was hot and unify or fight manny next, instead he had those terrible defences against jojo dan and donut.

    Wasn’t brook beating Spence by a round or 2 up until the stoppage? I think if he hadn’t fought ggg he would’ve ud Spence in the end
